How soon should I place an order?

The sooner the better. Orders are taken on a first-come, first-serve basis.

How do I place an order?

You can place an order by emailing wendyscakeshoppe1@gmail.com, or by filling the contact form on the website. Once we receive your request, we will contact you to discuss details of your order and provide you with a quote. Please note, an order is NOT confirmed until a 50% deposit is received.

How does payment work?

We require a 50% non-refundable deposit fee to secure the date of your event. The balance of the payment is due 2 days prior to  delivery / pickup. We will send you a friendly reminder. Failure to pay the balance of the payment will result in an order being cancelled. Payment is made via e-transfer to wendyscakeshoppe1@gmail.com  ​

Do you deliver?

Yes! In fact, it is better to have tiered cakes and intricately designed cakes delivered and set up to your event. This is done to ensure that the cake arrives in one beautiful piece to its destination! There is a $0.50 / kilometer round trip delivery fee.

Can I pick up my order?

Yes! Simple, 1 tiered cakes, cupcakes and cookies can be picked up. Please note however, that once the item(s) leaves our shoppe, we will not be held liable for any damage occurred.

Do you offer tastings?

No. Currently, we do not offer tastings.

Are your products gluten-free or nut free?

We do NOT offer gluten-free products. While we offer nut free selections, we are NOT a nut free shoppe. If you have any allergies, it is best to inquire with a baker that can guarantee nut-free or gluten free products.

How much does a cake / cupcake / cookie cost?

Everything we make is made fresh to order, and are specific to each client's vision. Cost is determined by the size of an order, flavours, and intricacy of design.  As such, there are no set prices. You can visit our pricing page for base pricing on our products. However, please email us, or use the Contact form to get an accurate quote for your order.

 

Why are custom cakes / cupcakes / cookies so expensive?

Ordering a custom-made cake / cookie / cupcake is not the same as ordering  these treats from a grocery store or big chain store such as Wal-Mart or Costco. Custom-made treats are made fresh-to-order and to a client’s specifications. No two orders are alike. Everything is made from scratch (i.e. no pre-packaged mixes).

Making a custom-made treat takes a lot of work. Typically, it can take several hours to complete an order. Orders that are more elaborate and detailed take more time and labour than a simple order. You are paying for a cake decorator’s skill, talent and time. These are some of the things that get factored into the cost of treats.

Do you offer refunds?

We value our clients. If a product is deemed not to meet our standards, we offer a non-refundable credit with no cash value. We do NOT offer refunds for issues with taste and texture as that is subjective to each individual. You may qualify for a store credit if we deem the treat is not up to standard, but in such cases, we require you notify us right away and the treat be returned within 24 hours after pickup/delivery.
